Job Summary Responsible for the medical care of the patients presenting to E.R. He/she is to receive the patient, perform full assessment, initiate medical care and discharge the patient safely from the unit by maintaining a high level of professional performance in accordance with: § Professional medical ethics and CBAHI / JCIA standards § Hospital medical by-laws § Laws of Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan. Major Duties and Responsibilities · Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Care National Hospital. · Triage patients to medical care according to the acuity of their illness, in cooperation with the Emergency Room Nurses. · Performs a full assessment of the patient including history taking, physical examination, routine diagnostic tests and investigations. · Initiates the proper medical care/treatment as appropriate, Provides patient care within the parameters of their professional competence as reflected in the scope of their clinical privileges. · Should be able to handle and manage all surgical, orthopedic, medical and pediatric cases presenting to the E.R. and stabilize critical cases. · Refers patient to other physicians of relevant specialties for consultation or continuation of specialized medical care or admission when needed. · Documents all the above procedures as per the Hospital Rules and Regulations. · Shares and participates in the departments’ education and training activities. · Abides by the Policies and Procedures of the department and the Riyadh Care Hospital. · Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure including documentation in patient medical record. · They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education. · Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care. · Provides health promotion and health teaching thru methods appropriate to a patients’ developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, culture and situations. · Allots time necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient education provided to patients/families with appropriate documentation. · Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities. Job Summary The Senior Registrar is responsible for providing care for his/her patients (inpatient and outpatient) maintaining a high-level of professional performance under supervision of the Consultant / Head of ER in accordance with: Professional medical ethics and CBAHI / JCIA standards. Hospital medical by-laws. Laws of Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan. Providing effective leadership, maintaining an appropriate quality plan using measurable performance improvement standards in the field of medical emergency. Major Duties and Responsibilities Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Riyadh Care Hospital. Provides patient care within the parameters of their professional competence as reflected in the scope of their clinical privileges. Practices within the framework of clinically relevant and scientifically valid standards, guidelines and criteria. Participates in the development and maintenance of medical contingency disaster plans. Maintain the quality of the triage system performed by the Emergency Room Nurse. Supervises the performance of the E.R. physicians in the unit. Performs some diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on his/her patients within the range of the specialty as per his / her privileges. Assessment and referral of appropriate patients under his/her medical care to other appropriate medical facilities. Participates in the on-call Rota of the department for patient care. Observes and upholds the patient's rights of security, confidentiality and privacy. Responds to emergencies to offer advice and actively participate with problems if required, related to his/her specialty. Maintains appropriate records of all patients with accurate, timely legible completion of patient's medical records. Supervision of duties of assigned junior staff. Provides leadership for performance-improvement functions in the process of measurement, assessment and improvement of both clinical and non-clinical process as part of the Departmental Quality Plan. Active participation in Continued Medical Education (C.M.E.) through educational hospital activities (morning report meetings, grand rounds, clinical tutorials and seminars, journal club, radiology or clinico-pathological conferences). Also, through National and International meetings, conferences and symposia. Active participation in training program related to his/her field and organization within the hospital for training of junior medical staff and in-service training for nursing staff and technicians. Continuous update of his/her knowledge in the medical field as well as continuously upgrading level of skill in his/her field of profession. Job Summary General Practitioner is responsible for providing the care of his/her patients maintaining a high-level of professional performance in accordance with: Evidence based medicine. Professional medical ethics and CBAHI / JCIA standards. Hospital medical by-laws. Laws of Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan. Major Duties and Responsibilities Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics. Provides patient care within the parameters of their professional competence as reflected in the scope of their clinical privileges. Performs history taking, physical examinations, interpretation of common diagnostic tests and formulation of a plan management; on admission. Conducts daily ward rounds, on all inpatients in the section. Liaises with the concerned consultant about care of his inpatients. Assumes an active part in the On-Call Rotations in the Department and participates actively in the morning report together with this Consultant on-call and the moderator. Admits patients from the hospital referral facilities (e.g. ER and OPD) upon appropriate discussion with the Consultant under whose name the admission is done. Evaluates all new admissions and coordinates with the Consultant and Senior Registrar a plan of investigation to establish a diagnosis and a management course. Executes the plan, approved by the Consultant/Senior Registrar. Seeks the advice and guidance of his seniors whenever the condition of a patient merits further expertise. Documents all plans in the patient's charts and keeps an updated follow-up in the progress notes. Presents the previous day's admissions in the morning report when resident on duty.
