Responsible to participate services as well as in the routine and emergency diagnostic radiology work load. Responsible to practices within the framework of clinical privilege of both In-patients and Out-patients. Responsible to assess and referred appropriate patients under his /her medical care to other appropriate medical facilities as well as accepting referrals of patients with medical problems in his / her field of specialty. Responsible to assess, evaluate and documented the findings of all Radiographs (X-ray reports) on a day to day basis. Responsible to skillfully performs and reports on fluoroscopic vascular or other diagnostic procedures. Responsible to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on his /her patients within the range of specialty. Responsible to perform Special Procedures e.g. MRI and CT cases. Responsible to perform non-interventional imaging procedures. Responsible to perform routine ultrasound cases and delivers a written report of the findings. Responsible to seek the advice or help of the Head Department whenever the condition of patient merits further expertise. Responsible to prepare all medical diagnosis report related to the patients and must be approved it as soon as possible thru PAC's system. Assumes on active part in the On-call duty rotations in the department. Actively participates in departments and educational training activities. Responsible to know and abides department Policies and Procedures as well as hospital by-laws, Rules and regulations. Responsible to perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of employee's knowledge, skills and abilities. Responsible to performs additional tasks and as assigned by Head Dept. Responsible to provide consultation to medical staff on diagnostic plans and priorities. Supervises the various scanning techniques assigned to him. Responsible to perform specialized procedures independently commensurate to his experience and skills according to department protocols. Responsible to seize every opportunity to discuss theoretical and technical aspects of radiology with Head Department. Responsible to seek the advice and guidance of Head Department radiologist whenever the condition of patient merits further expertise. Responsible to reports on X-ray procedures and scans in a systematic informative and conclusive manner. Responsible to supervise the junior staff in conducting their duties and responsibilities as designated by the Head Dept. Provides a clinical follow up of patient progress and management as requested by Head Department. Responsible to shares and participates in department’s educational and training activities. Responsible to know and abides the Policies and procedures of the Radiology Department and Riyadh Care Hospital by-laws and Rules and regulations. Responsible to work within the trust clinical governance framework and GMC guidance. Qualification A minimum of: Education: Required M.B.Bch, MSc, MD, Specialization in Radiology Desirable Higher qualifications in his specialty. Experience: Required At least five (5) years’ experience in Radiology year after obtaining higher qualification. Experience in special procedures of Radiology is preferred. Providing effective leadership of the department maintaining an appropriate quality plan using measurable performance improvement standards in the field of intensive care. These activities include but are not limited to: Triage and bed allocation, discharge planning. Recommendation of unit policies and procedures and supervision of application of unit policies. Participation in ongoing Quality Improvement, Infection Control activities including supervision of data collection in addition to membership of committees including Code Blue Committee. Interaction with other department as necessary to facilitate the management of patients and smooth operation of ICU. Review of the appropriate utilization of ICU resources in hospital. Recommend equipment purchases and changes, and have input on structural and design changes within the unit. Provide the Medical Director with the recommendations on the activities, morbidities, mortalities and major changes in the ICU/CCU. Should conduct regular ICU rounds with ICU team and see patients as often as required by acuity but at least twice daily. Investigations and management of patients with medical problems related to his subspeciality, even if under the primary care of other attending physicians but with prior permission and willingness of the primary physician concerned using subspeciality related invasive and non invasive procedures. Collaborative assistance in referrals of above type of patients to appropriate facilities for further management if resources of this institution are not adequate. Should be able to perform the usual critical care procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic as indicated by the competence, capability; including but not limited to: Maintenance of the airway to include endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation. Should be able to serve as the team leader providing managed care within the ICU, integrating and tiliating the care of the patient with complex illness or injury including multi system failure. Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Riyadh Care Hospital. Evaluates plans and performs physical therapy treatments. Writes evaluation assessment and maintain adequate treatment records and progress notes for review by medical staffs. Carries own patient case load and responsible for all duties this entails. Directs and supervises work of Physical Therapy Technicians. Participates in departmental meeting, case conference and clinical in-service. Prepares patients for discharge from the hospital by teaching those precautions, basic procedures and giving home instructions if necessary. Communicates all pertinent changes in patients' condition to the Physicians and medical staff. Promptly completes daily documentation of treatment. Ensures good maintenance in the treatment area. Reports to Department Head any damage and out of order equipment. Acts as a consultant in clinical problems discusses diagnosis and treatment plans with medical team. Assists the attending Physician/Surgeon in determining appropriate physical therapy treatment; reviews and evaluates patient's records; schedules, performs and evaluates patient tests; recommends the most appropriate treatment for specific disabilities; submits a written treatment program to the Physician/Surgeon for concurrence. Administers precise manual manipulation and massage techniques; applies physical agents such as light, heat, water and electricity using equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and diathermy and ultrasound machines. Directs the preparation of prosthetic devices and instructs patients in their use. Maintains complete records of the patients' original diagnosis, evaluation and treatment plan; records and evaluates patients' response and discusses progress with the Physician/Surgeon; recommends changes; advises when the patient is ready for discharge from the therapy room. Demonstrates proper treatment procedures to ward personnel; instructs patients and families in procedures to be continued at home. As requested, plans and conducts lectures and training programs for medical staff, students and community groups; plans and participates in the physical therapy research programs. Keeps abreast of new techniques or equipments and recommends or implements them as applicable. Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure including documentation in patient medical record. They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education. Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care. Provides health promotion and health teaching thru methods appropriate to a patients’ developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, culture and situations. Allots time necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient education provided to patients/families with appropriate documentation. Complies with hospital dress code. Job Description Job Summary Registrar is responsible for providing the Anesthetic services of his/her patients and maintaining a high-level of professional performance in accordance with: - Professional medical ethics and JCIA standards. - Hospital medical by-laws. - Laws of Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan. Major Duties and Responsibilities - Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics. - Performs the pre-operative assessment of assigned patients by history taking, physical examinations, interpretation of common diagnostic tests and document patient condition on admission in the specified admissions sheet as per JCIA standards. - Conducts daily pre-anesthesia ward rounds to all inpatients in the hospital. Liaises with the concerned Consultant with regards to care of his inpatients. - Documents plan of patient management and maintains appropriate records of all patients with accurate, timely legible completion of patients medical records. Keeping an updated follow-up in the progress notes. - Should seek the advice of or help of the Consultant whenever the condition of a patient merits further expertise. Works under supervision and instructions of assigned Consultant. - Is a member of the ‘Code Blue’ team, as directed. - Participates actively in the on-call rota of the department for patient care and admissions.
