Identifies and reports deficiencies either technical or managerial to Senior Technician / Chief Technician . Participates in the solving-process of laboratory trouble-shooting. Sustains appropriate common reagents and products inventory for laboratory activities. Adheres to quality system approach of laboratory activities. Validates and accepts laboratory results under supervision prior to release through Laboratory Information System. Participates in the orientation and training of new technicians. Working time may include night shifts and rotating weekends and holidays as per the organization of the department. Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure (NSP-GEN-014) including documentation in patient medical record. Qualifications: A minimum of: Education: Bachelor’s Degree/ ore equivalent from an approved school of medical Technology, College or University. Current registration with the designated authority for Medical Technologist / Technician from country of origin/ recruitment + license of Ministry of Health (MOH) in Saudi Arabia. Experience: Required Two (2) years’ experience similar to the post.

Evaluates plans and performs physical therapy treatments. Writes evaluation assessment and maintain adequate treatment records and progress notes for review by medical staffs. Assist Pharmacist in dispensing medications and maintaining appropriate patient records and charges. - Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics. - Ensures that the dispensing functions in Pharmacy area is complete, by checking the prescription with correct labeling which is already confirmed by the Pharmacist. This is carried out promptly for Inpatient, I.V. Admixture and Outpatient. - Ensures that the area is maintained in a neat and clean order and is well stocked in the work in the work area for unit dose and I.V. Admixture. - Ensures that the dispensing functions in the centralized I.V. Admixture Program, aseptically prepared TPN solutions, injectable chemotherapy, antibiotics and other medications for I.V. therapy are completely labeled (in a proper and prompt manner) under direct supervision of the Pharmacist.

Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned with the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure (NSP-GEN-014) including documentation in patient medical record. They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education. Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care. Provides health promotion and health teaching thru methods appropriate to a patients’ developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, culture and situations. Allots time necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient education provided to patients/families with appropriate documentation. Reporting to: Head, Department of Paediatrics Supervises: Senior Registrars, Registrars, Residents, Nurses and other paramedical staff assigned to him. Liaises with: Consultants of his/her specialty, of other specialties within the department, Consultant of other departments, Nursing staff, other health care professionals, patients and their families. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Required Saudi Board/Arab Board, American Board, or Canadian Fellowship, or MRCP, or Equivalent Registration in Saudi Medical Council and/or current license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia. Desirable Higher qualifications in his specialty, if any. EXPERIENCE: Required Minimum of three (3) years experience Post Qualification. Current valid license to practice medicine in the area of his specialty. Desirable Additional experience in a sub-specialty
