Job Summary Registrar is responsible for providing the care of his/her patients maintaining a high-level of professional performance in accordance with: Evidence based medicine. Professional medical ethics and JCIA/CBAHI standards. Hospital medical by-laws. Laws of Ministry of health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan. Major Duties and Responsibilities Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics. Performs history taking, physical examinations, interpretation of common diagnostic tests and document patient condition on admission in the specified admissions sheet. Admits patients from the hospital E.R. after appropriate discussion and approval of the Consultant under whose name admission is done. Evaluates new admissions and coordinates with the Consultant a plan of investigation to establish a diagnosis and a management course. Executes the plan approved by the Consultant. Conducts daily ward rounds to all inpatients in the department. Liases with the concerned Consultant with regards to care of his inpatients. Documents plan of patient management and maintains appropriate records of all patients with accurate, timely legible completion of patients medical records. Keeping an updated follow-up in the progress notes. Seeks the advice of or help of the Consultant whenever the condition of a patent merits further expertise. Works under supervision and instructions of assigned Consultant. Prepares all discharge summaries, death reports and special reports on related patients. Presents the new admissions to the department through the daily morning reports. Participates actively in the On-call of the department for patient care and admissions. Responds to emergencies to offer medical care and advice on problems related to his/her specialty. Assists senior staff (Consultant) in performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures for patients in his field of specialty. Supervises the Junior Staff in conducting their duties and responsibilities as designated by the department. Actively participates in department's educational and training activities. Abides by department Policies and Procedures as well as hospital By-laws, Rules and Regulations. Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure including documentation in patient medical record. They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education. Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care. Provides health promotion and health teaching thru methods appropriate to a patients’ developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, culture and situations. Allots time necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient education provided to patients/families with appropriate documentation . Carries out administrative, organizational or any other duties in relation to ICU/CCU or physiological testing (cardiac section) as assigned by the Head of the Department. Carries out any other assignments as directed by the Head of Department and within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities. Reporting to Head, Departmental of Internal Medicine Liases with: All physicians, Nursing staff, other health care professionals, patients and their families. Supervises Residents, Nursing Staff and other health care professionals assigned to his supervision. Qualifications: A minimum of: EDUCATION: Required University Master Degree or Equivalent Recognized as registrar by Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. EXPERIENCE: Required: Minimum three (3) years in his/her specialty after obtaining Master's Degree. Current valid license to practice medicine in the area of his specialty. Registration in Saudi Medical Council and/or Current license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia.

Duties and responsibilities : Collect or receive contaminated instruments and equipment from all hospital areas. Collects and distributes items to and from the units in a timely manner, in the absence of attendant, and correctly documents and reports any defects, losses, or shortage problems Check all items received and log them in - Clean instruments and ensure all solutions and machines used during the process are in compliance of manufacturers’ instructions. Perform routine procedures in Decontamination Area, sort contaminated items and thoroughly clean routine surgical instruments and equipment following manufacturers' instructions and established guidelines for effective bio-burden removal Decontaminate and sterilize all processing supplies and equipment (reusable equipment and surgical) used for processing by the following sterilization systems: Steam, and hydrogen peroxide. Answer requests from OR - Undertake and ensure that all reusable items are decontaminated and sterilized in accordance with international standards and manufactures instructions. - Inspect the cleanliness, working functions and conditions of all products requiring sterilization. Assemble and package basic instrument sets and routine procedural trays using the Operating Manual and AAMI recommended packaging materials and techniques Check product completion against pre-established checklists or product specification - Maintain reports of defective equipment and submit to the attention of the immediate supervisor for the appropriate action. Load and unload sterilizer chambers without damage to the integrity of packages, according to Operating Manual procedures and AAMI Maintain accurate, real time Quality Assurance documentation i.e., run the monitor (including chemical and biological indicator monitors), document all items in loads and ensure that the load logs are accurate and complete and/or instrument/equipment recalls where required should questionable monitor results be detected. Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, hospital infection control and safety protocols to adhere to international standards, such as AAMI, APIC, AORN, OSHA and FDA Ensure the standard precautions related to CSSD are implemented, including wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), receiving and handling of contaminated instruments, chemical storage and usage - Ensure maintenance and safe operation of equipment. - Perform other job related duties as required. Job Summary Consultant is responsible for providing care for his/her patients (inpatient and outpatient) maintaining a high-level of professional performance in accordance with: - Evidence based medicine - Professional medical ethics and CBAHI / JCIA standards. - Hospital medical by-laws. - Laws of Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan Providing effective leadership of the department maintaining an appropriate quality plan using measurable performance improvement standards in the field of cardiology. The cardiologist is a staff member of the Cardia departmnet. Responsibilities are divided between the outpatient and inpatient services: consultations, admissions and cardiac procedures (Echo, EKG, stress testing, Holters, Swan-Ganz, etc.) Major Duties and Responsibilities - Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics. - Provides patient care within the parameters of their professional competence as reflected in the scope of their clinical privileges for both in-patients and outpatients. - Practices within the framework of clinically relevant and scientifically valid standards, guidelines and criteria. - To perform his duties in the cardiology clinic evaluating patients with cardiovascular diseases. - To provide care to his patients in the coronary care unit, intermediate care unit and other medical wards. - To perform cardiac procedures: stress testing, nuclear cardiology, EKG interpretation, Holter monitors, Echocardiogram and Doppler’s, cardiac catheterization and pacemakers, etc. - To provide consultation services to the inpatients in his area of expertise. - Conducts regular ward rounds on his own and/or as a team to formulate a multi-disciplinary treatment plan. - Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on his/her patients within the range of the specialty. - Assessment and referral of appropriate patients under his/her medical care to other appropriate medical facilities as well as accepting referrals of patients with medical problems in his/her field of specialty. - Participate in the on-call rota of the department for patient care and admission. - Responds to emergencies to offer advice and actively participate with problems if required, related to his/her specialty. - Observes and upholds the patients rights of security, confidentiality and privacy. - Maintains appropriate records of all patients with accurate, timely legible completion of patient’s medical records. - Consultant has a leadership role in the organization performance. - Supervision of duties of assigned junior staff. - Provides leadership for performance-improvement functions in the process of measurement, assessment and improvement of both clinical and non-clinical process as part of the Departmental Quality Plan. - Active participation in Continued Medical Education (C.M.E.) through educational hospital activities (morning report meetings, grand rounds, clinical tutorials and seminars, journal club, radiology or clinico-pathological conferences). The Radiology Manager is responsible for planning, fiscal budgeting, evaluating and leading the team of radiology department administratively and technically in a medical facility except physicians. His / her responsibilities also include equipment quality control and maintenance, inventory, ordering of supplies, and performance improvement. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Assists Head of Radiology in planning & implementing annual performance plan. Budgetary Develops strategies & tactics to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and achieve effective use of imaging services. Plans, monitors & manages the operating budget of radiology dept. Reviews productivity and labor analysis and adjust staff to meet budget and flex FTE allotment. Creates operational adjustments to ensure operating budgets targets are met. Evaluates and recommends supplies, new equipment purchase selection and technologies; provides justification and prioritization of such needs; orders procedural and operational supplies. Oversees and ensures that exams and supplies are coded correctly and charged to maximize reimbursement. Presents the analytics to HOD in the 2nd week of each month along with action plan for the challenges areas. Operational Manages and directs the daily operation of assigned areas and staff. Develops implements, maintains and enforces departmental programs, policies, procedures and protocols in due alignment with MOH, CBAHI & JCI. Ensures and maintains required documentation for compliance with safety, environmental and infection control standards, as being required by regulations. Monitors compliance with standards, identify variances or inabilities to meet established targets and implements action to ensure that targets are met. Directs the maintenance of department facilities, equipment, supplies and materials in a condition to promote efficient, safe and effective services for patients, physicians, and staff. Markets and promotes Imaging Services to referring physicians. Identifies & capitalize on the opportunities to improve customer satisfaction. Represents Imaging Services on committees and functions as a liaison among the general public in community relations and marketing activities. Develops and fosters collaboration among clinical departments and affiliated services to ensure an integrated and coordinated approach to providing Imaging Services and resolution of customer complaints or problems. Maintains interactive communication with patients and families and effectively addresses conflicts and opportunities for improvement Collaborate with physicians and staff to resolve problems and provide advice concerning technical procedures, techniques, and equipment Supervises the maintenance and quality control of the department’s equipment and maintain inventory and order supplies. Keeps the monthly statistics updated and presents the same in the 2nd week of each month to HOD. Personnel Performs all personnel functions within radiology dept. including hiring, evaluations, promotions, disciplinary process and scheduling except physicians. Ensures an active coordination of external services and part-time contracts. Develops employee’s schedules, overtime & on call duty. Ensures that all employees are properly oriented, trained, and that annual competencies, certifications, and licensure and education requirements are current. Ensures that all personnel are properly trained on equipment and competent in its use. Enhances professional growth and development of department staff through participation in educational programs, current literature, in- service meetings and workshops. Plans, develops and provides continuing education and training. Develops, implements and apply personnel management policies and procedures; ensures that department and hospital guidelines, work rules and personnel policies are understood and applied to staff. Develops and implement Performance Improvement plan for Imaging Services. Responsible to perform additional tasks and duties assigned by the department head. Responsible to know and abides hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities. Qualification Education: Required Sc in Radiologic Technology Master is Radiologic Technology is preferred. Registration in Saudi Medical Council and/or current license to practice in Saudi Arabia Experience: Required At least Five years of clinical experience in medical imaging and three years as manager. Extensive clinical and technical experience in one or more subspecialty of imaging.

Job Summary General Practitioner is responsible for providing the care of his/her patients maintaining a high-level of professional performance in accordance with: Evidence based medicine. Professional medical ethics and JCIA/CBAHI standards. Hospital medical by-laws. Laws of Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan. Major Duties and Responsibilities Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals. Performs history taking, physical examinations, interpretation of common diagnostic tests and formulation of a plan management; on admission. Conducts daily rounds, on all inpatients in the unit. Liases with the concerned consultant with regards to care of his inpatients. Assumes an active part in the On-Call Duties in the Department and participates actively in the morning report and Endorsement meeting together with this Consultant on-call and the moderator. Evaluates all new admissions and coordinates with the Consultant and Senior Registrar a plan of investigation to establish a diagnosis and a management course. Executes the plan, approved by the Consultant/Senior Registrar. Seeks the advice and guidance of his seniors whenever the condition of a patient merits further expertise. Documents all plans in the patient's charts and keeps an updated follow-up in the progress notes. Executes all diagnostic procedures required on the patient (e.g. bone marrow aspirations and biopsy, lumbar puncture, personal cavities aspirations, etc.) after consultation with the Senior Staff. Response to the consultations referred by specialized inpatient units (ER, Medicine, Hemodialysis, etc.), if needed as per ICU Regulations under the supervision of the Senior Staff Member in-charge. Prepares problem lists, discharge summaries, death reports and special reports on patients, when needed. Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure including documentation in patient medical record. They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education. Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care.
