Job Summary Responsible for performing and reporting on radiological procedures and scans assigned to him/her. Responsible to view, read and diagnosed the examination done thru PAC's system and approve medical report soon as possible. Responsible for providing care to his /her patients (in-patient/out patient) maintaining a high level of professional performance in accordance with. Professional medical ethics and CBAHI / JCIA standards. Hospital medical by-laws Laws of Ministry of Health in kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according with hospital quality plan. Major Duties and Responsibilities Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics. Responsible to practices within the framework of clinical privilege of both In-patients and Out-patients. Works under supervision and instructions of assigned Consultant. Should seek the advice of the Consultant whenever the condition of a patient merits further expertise. Works under supervision and instructions of assigned consultant. Assist Senior Staff (Consultant) in performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures to patients in his field of specialty. Presentation actively in the On-call Rota of the department for patient care. Performs non-interventional imaging procedures. Performs routine ultrasound cases and delivers a written report of the finding. Participates in the delivery of imaging techniques requested by outpatient services (e.g. OPD and ER). Responds to emergencies to offer the best available imaging modality. Reports on X-ray procedures and scans in a systematic informative and conclusive manner. Assesses, evaluate and documents the findings of all Radiographs (X-ray reports and special procedures reports done on a day to day basis. Prepares all medical reports related to the admitted and outpatients' patients thru PACS system and must be approved as soon as possible. Responsible to be Punctual in time of duty schedule. Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by Superiors. Must know the department Policies and Procedures as well as hospital by-laws, Rules and Regulations. Actively participates in departments and educational training activities. Responsible to know the Policies and procedures; Goals and objectives of the Radiology Department. Responsible to know and abides Riyadh Care Hospital by-laws and Rules and regulations. Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure including documentation in patient medical record. They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education. Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care. Provides health promotion and health teaching thru methods appropriate to a patients’ developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, culture and situations. Allots time necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient education provided to patients/families with appropriate documentation. Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities. Reporting to Head of Department Supervises N/A Liaises with N/A Qualification Education: Required Must have University graduate medical Degree. Postgraduate qualification in Radiology. Master is Radiology is preferred. Registration in Saudi Medical Council and/or current license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia Experience: Required At least Three (3) years’ experience in Radiology after obtaining higher Experience in subspecialty of Radiology is preferred. Academic affiliation is preferable.
JOB SUMMARY: Registrar is responsible for providing the care of his/her patients (inpatient) maintaining a high-level of professional performance in accordance with: Professional medical ethics and JCIA standards. Hospital medical by-laws. Laws of Ministry of Health in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and any other applicable regulations according to the departmental quality plan. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Riyadh Care Hospital. History taking, physical examinations, interpretation of common diagnostic tests and document patient condition on admission in the specified admission sheet. Can admit patients from the hospital ER after appropriate discussion and approval of the Consultant under whose name admission is done. Evaluates new admission and coordinates with Consultant a plan of investigation to establish a diagnosis and a management course. Executes the plan approved by the consultant. Conducts daily ward rounds to all inpatients in the department. Liases with the concerned Consultant with regards to care of his inpatients. A document plan of patient management and maintains appropriate records of all patients with accurate, timely legible completion of patient’s medical records. Keeping an updated follow-up in the progress notes. Should seek the advice of or help of the Consultant whenever the condition of a patient merits further expertise. Works under supervision and instructions of assigned Consultant. Prepares all discharge summaries, death reports and special reports on related patients. Presentation of new admission to the department through the daily morning reports. Participates actively in the on-call rota of the department of patient care and admissions. Responds to emergencies to offer medical care and advice on problems related to his/her specialty. Assist staff (Consultant) in performing diagnostic or therapeutic procedures to patients in his field of specialty. Supervise the Junior Staff in conducting their duties and responsibilities as designated by the department. Actively participates in the department’s educational and training activities. Abides by department Policies and Procedures as well as hospital by-laws, Rules and Regulations. Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure (NSP-GEN-014) including documentation in patient medical record. They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education. Involves the patient/families in plan of care and respects patients/families regarding their goals and choices of patient care. Provides health promotion and health teaching thru methods appropriate to a patients’ developmental level, learning needs, readiness and ability to learn, language preference, culture and situations. Allots time necessary to assess, plan implement and evaluate patient education provided to patients/families with appropriate documentation. To be involved in teaching activities, supervising all junior staff, interns & medical students. To carry out any other assignments as directed by the Head of Department and within the realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Required Master Degree or Equivalent Desirable Higher qualifications in his specialty, if any EXPERIENCE: Required Minimum of three (3) years in the specialty after obtaining Master’s Degree. Registration in Saudi Medical Council and current license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia as a Registrar in Ob/Gyne. Desirable Eight (8) years experience in his/her specialty after obtaining Master’s Degree.
Received and analyzed incident reports, participate in an investigations if required and participate in improvement plan formulation for any identified error and risk. Coordinate and follow-up the hospital compliance with required accreditation standards such as Joint Commission International (JCI) and Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) standards as directed by the HOD. Received and analyzed all incident reports. Investigate patient safety issues within the facility and participate in Root Cause Analyses of sentinel events. Recommend and facilitate change within the organization to improve patient safety, based on identified risks through incident reports. Design and implement educational presentations that facilitate the understanding and implementation of incident reporting system within the organization. Prepares quarterly reports regarding incident reporting systems in the organization that includes comprehensive analysis detailing categories of errors, causes of errors and recommendations for improvement of current processes that could prevent future errors. Ensures that all hospital services are provided in accordance with standards established through various accreditation standards (JCI & CBAHI and others) and ensures the continuous readiness for the accreditation process. Develops the timeline for completion of all tasks associated with the accreditation process. In coordination with other departments, assesses the hospital compliance with accreditation standards and ensures the development of the required strategies to enhance compliance. Schedule and facilitate regular meetings with the established Accreditation Steering Committees by the hospital administration. Maintains knowledge on current trends in specialty and makes recommendations for improvement. Assist / facilitate QI Projects In coordination with other departments. Job Summary Responsible for the medical care of the patients presenting to E.R. He/she is to receive the patient, perform full assessment, initiate medical care and discharge the patient safely from the unit. Works with purchasing to improve performance of vendors, and with Bu’s for quality improvement. - To double check and coordinate with all other staff members to ensure the approved procedures and guidelines are properly followed for systematic and effective storing processes of all items. - Works with inventory database and ensures that stock quantities are accurate and at appropriate level. - Ensures that production schedules are met by purchasing the necessary materials. - Ensures that materials are cost-effective and meet the organization’s quality standards. - Monitors the performance of vendors by ensuring the continued quality and timely shipment of ordered materials. - To check all items for re-order with the proper monitoring from both actual counts of the said items and with the balance in the computer system. Performs duties in the laboratory on-call /shift roster for week-days, week-ends and during public holidays. Receives or obtains specimen in aseptic conditions for laboratory testing. Prepares specimens for testing and assesses the integrity of clinical specimens as per policies prior to testing. Creates daily worksheets activities according to diagnostic applications. Performs routine and of moderate complexity testing and analyses according to SOPs and QC assessment. Prepares common use reagents and starts the daily calibration of equipments for daily routine activities. Performs regular assessment of equipments of common use by measurements of indicators as per laboratories procedures. Evaluates new procedures or methods under direct supervision of department Senior Technician. Performs daily calibration and maintenance of equipments and sustains documents of all activities. Follows approved procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with standards of practice. Maintains accurate records of QC and patient results. Identifies and reports deficiencies either technical or managerial to Senior Technician / Chief Technician . Participates in the solving-process of laboratory trouble-shooting. Sustains appropriate common reagents and products inventory for laboratory activities. Adheres to quality system approach of laboratory activities. Validates and accepts laboratory results under supervision prior to release through Laboratory Information System. Participates in the orientation and training of new technicians. Working time may include night shifts and rotating weekends and holidays as per the organization of the department.
