Job Summary
Ensures that adequate medical & non-medical supplies are regularly appropriated & distributed to all nursing units. Creates & maintains an efficient, comprehensive filing/record system of monitoring supplies to facilitate quick & easy access to documentation/correspondence & information when required.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains supplies’ appropriate par level through inventory & monitoring issuance.
- Submit request to NMC Main Warehouse to restock the consumed supplies.
- Receive the requested supplies from the NMC Main Warehouse.
- Issues the required supplies for daily use in the clinical units.
- Control daily consumption in the clinical units.
- Monitor expiry dates of items in use.
- Ensures the procedures for security, safety & confidentiality are complied at all times.
- Perform day to day encoding activities in a timely manner.
- Maintains adequate stock par level of general stationary items for the ward/unit.
- Provide the RCH-IPC with monthly consumption report & variations according to the
workload & volume.
- Submit the request for the non-stock items to the RCH-IPC for review & approval.
- Prepares various statistical reports. 13. Performs additional tasks & duties as assigned by the supervisor’
- Coordinates with the unit in charge in maintaining adequate stock level of medical /non-
medical items & relevant consumables for the ward/unit.
- Assist in training of new sub store clerk when the need arises.
- Attend annual mandatory training including Infection Control, Risk & Management Training,
Customer Service Training, etc.
- Responsible to read, understand, familiarize & comply with hospital & departmental rules,
policies & procedures.

Qualifications
- Two years of college level education, with one year of experience related to post.
- Basic computer skills.
- Adequate knowledge of computer operations/functions.
- Completion of secretarial program, university graduate or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a hospital & familiar with medical terminology.
- Computer literate (Excel & Word)
- Fluency in verbal & written English is required.
