Quality Improvement Specialist

Responsible for developing, implementing, facilitating and evaluating overall Quality and Patient Safety program.
Develops, implements and monitors compliance to policies and procedures to facilitate quality and patient safety programs.
Performs Hazard Vulnerability Assessment to identify and prioritize areas at-risk for failure and implement corrective measures to close gaps.
Receive, logs and investigates all incidents and safety concerns, takes appropriate action and/ or makes recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
Develops and implements Key Performance Indicators, and provides in-depth analysis of data and information to assist Leaders in effective decision making.
Collect and validate data for identified key performance indicators per operational definitions for each metric.
Provide expertise and facilitates multidisciplinary teams to perform RCA and FMEA and develop actions plans to corrective deficiencies and prevent future recurrence.
Participates in and provides support to various Hospital Committees to assure continuity and enhancement of safe, effective and efficient patient care and effective communication of activities.
Works collaboratively with other QPS Department staff.
When assigned, completes special projects and performs other related duties according to agreed upon goals and parameters.

Working knowledge of national and international quality and patient safety standards (i.e. MOH, CBAHI, JCI, CAP, AABB, Planetree) implementation, clinical care processes and process improvement techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality and data management systems, aggregation, analysis and reporting.
Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
