Job Description
Coordinate and follow-up the hospital compliance with Joint Commission International (JCI) and Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) standards as directed by the Director of Quality Improvement Department
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion, and understanding is given to every patient served at the NMC Hospitals and Clinics.
Ensures that all hospital services are provided in accordance with standards established through JCI & CBAHI accreditation standards and ensures the continuous readiness for the accreditation process.
Develops the timeline for completion of all tasks associated with the accreditation process.
In coordination with other departments, assesses the hospital compliance with accreditation standards and ensures the development of the required strategies to enhance compliance.
Responsible for the proper records keeping of all documents/evidences related to the compliance to standards and the strategic improvement plans recommended by the accreditation bodies.
Responsible for necessary internal & external coordination and arrangement for the accreditation surveys.
Schedule and facilitate regular meetings with the established Accreditation Steering Committees by the hospital administration.
Maintains knowledge on current trends in specialty and makes recommendations for improvement.
Lends technical support to other sections in the QI Department as required.
Maintains Confidentiality at all times.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsible for the proper records keeping of all policies and procedures, guidelines and protocol related the compliance to standards.
