Encoder Supervisor Billing and Data Entry

.Job Summary
Providing administrative support and supervise billing and inpatient accounts Coordinate
with medical, nursing and medical approval section to obtain enough financial coverage
for the services render in Riyadh Care Hospital.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of
medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at
the NMC Hospitals and Clinics.
• Identify correct patient and correct procedure before billing any services.
• Monitor patient part, patient deposited amount, insurance approval before render any
procedures during inpatient stay.
• Identify and correct the billing errors.
• Monitor implants and supplies billed in patient invoice with correct code and price
• Monitor and fix open cases, halted cases on a timely manner to maintain financial
safety.
• Update patient accounts before discharge with correct code, correct approval or
sufficient deposit.
• Collect patient part for excluded services and also during discharges.
• Monitor daily staff remittance to the main cashier.
• Ensures that telephone calls are answered promptly and courteously, taking and
relaying accurate and complete messages in the department.
• Prepare staffing plan, manpower plan, vacation schedule and monthly schedule on
time manner.
• Arrange 24/7 coverage for demanded areas such as Emergency, Labor and Delivery
etc.
• Ensures to comply with the hospital dress code for all staff working under encoder
section.
• Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the
employee's knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Educate staff regarding new changes in billing methodology, new packages, new
codes and any updates from business center or cooperate offices.
• Inform staff regarding update in third party insurance contracts, pricelists.
• Initiate performance improvement plan, cost reduction, revenue enhancement in
inpatient billing process
• Report department performance frequently to the head of department
• Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by department head or division
director.

Qualifications:
A minimum of:
Education:
o Required
Diploma I At least two (2) years of college education
Experience:
A minimum of:
• Five (5) years' experience of similar job in large scale hospital.
Competencies & Skills:
• Fluency in verbal and written English for Arabic and Non-Arabic speakers.
• Computer literate (Excel and Word);
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology, billing services
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
• Customer service oriented and team work player.
