الوصف الوظيفي
- The Senior Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine analysis, and management functions in one of the divisions of Laboratory and Blood Bank.
- Working knowledge of Quality Control methods in assigned area and Quality Improvement program based on Local and International Standards, e.g. CBAHI, SFDA, JCIA, CAP and AABB Standards.
- Performs routine diagnostic activities from moderate to high complex procedures.
- Responsible for the assignment of activities to technicians.
- Supervise the work of testing personnel, plan laboratory work schedules and assess the completion of tasks performed.
- Monitors and reviews laboratory daily activities by assessing technical resources and testing personnel for all shifts combined.
- Identifies deficiencies either technical or testing personnel-related and reports to the Chief Technician.
- Participates in solving trouble-shooting and other incidents occurring in laboratory.
- Participates in the daily calibration and maintenance of equipments.
- Sustains appropriate reagents and other products inventory for laboratory activities in order to maintain laboratory services.
- Sustains quality system approach of laboratory activities.
- Responsible for monitoring technical operations with a supervisory role on technicians.
- Validates and accepts laboratory results prior to release through Laboratory Information System, by phone or by fax.
- Maintains accurate records of Quality Control and patient results records.
- Performs Monitor QC, QI, safety and inspection control practices to assure compliance with internal and external regulations.
